Community Learning

There are many different ways to learn about herbal medicine. Many of the projects described under our section Community Spaces share learning resources and deliver courses and events. 

It is  quite likely that a herbalist near you will be offering walks and workshops. 

The list below is not exhaustive by any means but gives examples of projects that have been set up to offer accessible community learning in some particular context or other.


Living Medicine

Living Medicine began in 2004 with a vision to inspire people to reclaim responsibility for their own health though the use of healing plants and food. The charity was created by Alex laird working with Simon Mills.

The focus of the project has evolved over time, but the basic premise remains: the core activity has been to develop practical, evidenced-based self help courses and short sessions that can be delivered in different contexts, to public and patients from all cultures,...
